March Road Bicycle Accident | Hit and RunAccording to the Ottawa Citizen reporter, Glen McGregor, several cyclists were seriously injured this morning when a van slammed into them. One victim is reported to have a possible head injury. Apparently the van did not stop at the scene. At least one injured person was airlifted to hospital. Others were transported by ambulance. An update to this story indicates that the injured victims include Rob Harland, Mike White, Hilary MacNamee, Robert Wein and Catherine Anderson. We wish them a speedy recovery. According to the Ottawa Sun, all of the victims were wearing proper protective gear, including helmets. One of the helmets split in two.
