Second, ensure that you and anyone in your care receives appropriate medical attention.

If you or someone else on the scene is able to do so, gather the other drivers’ personal information including name, driver’s license number, insurance information, license plate and address and phone number.

Again, if possible, secure photos of the vehicles involved before they are moved.

Be sure to get medical attention the same day as the accident if at all possible, paying close attention to possible head injury.
